Description
Fossil Cephalopod Plesioteuthis prisca from the Solnhoefen Limestones. The Solnhofen Limestones are famous for their well preserved fossils. This fossil Cephalopod Plesioteuthis prisca comes from Solnhofen in Bavaria, Germany.
The limestone plate has cracked, but has been professionally repaired. The front of the Gladius has an hole, which shows that it is hollow. In front of the schulp is an impression, that shows the bundled arms.
The fossil is 10″ or 25,4 cm long. The limestone plate is 13″ or 33 cm long and 8.2″ or 21 cm wide.
