Indosphinctes Ammonite + Macrocephalites / France

Description

Nice preserved Indosphinctes Ammonite + Macrocephalites and one other Ammonite and a clam on one rock slab from France for sale. The slab comes from the Lower Callovian of the Niort area in France. The rock slab gives an inside view of part of the associated fauna from that location. Indosphinctes, the bigger one, is an Ammonite that has forked ribs and the characteristic long ears at the front. Macrocephalites macrocephalus is an chubby blown up Ammonite from the Lower Callovian that looks very simular to Cadoceras sublaeve. They both occur in the Lower Callovian.

The Perisphinctes Ammonite is 7.5 cm or 2.9 inches in diameter. The Macrocephalites is abou 3 cm or 1.1 inches in diameter. There are one more Ammonite on the side of the slab and a clam.
