Jurassic Ammonite Orthosphinctes from Germany

Description

This Jurassic Ammonite Orthosphinctes (desmoides?) comes from the location Bischberg, a commercially used quarry in Bavaria which covers Malm gamma 1 and 2.                                                                                                                    The fossil is 4 cm or 1.5 ” in diameter

The Ammonites of the Malm gamma are hard to determine, since they change in evolution but mostly also during growth which seams to appear in 3 stages and finally due to sexes.There is new work in progress to find keys for specimen determination.
