Description
This Cambrian Trilobite Hamatolenus for sale comes from Morocco and is well preserved. There is no cracks and glue. It is what you see.
The rusty orange to redish brown color of the fossil comes from Ironoxides, called also Limonite, yellow ochre. It is characteristic for the Trilobites in the area of that age. They also occour in other Mid Cambrian age fossil locations, for example at the Skrije location of the Jince Shales and Newfoundland.
The size of the fossil is 4,7 cm or 1.9″ from head to tail.
