Perenopsis interstrictus occurs in the mid Cambrian Wheeler Shale of Utah. The Wheeler Shale is named after the town of Wheeler. They are about 507 million years of age.
The Trilobite Perenopsis interstrictus is a rather small Trilobite. They are about 8 mm, or around 3/8 of an inch long. The Trilobite has only 2 segments between Head and tail. This is characteristic for the order of the Agnostida.
Perenopsis interstrictus ? or Perenopsis interstricta ? I never found that one out, seems to be now Itagnostus interstrictus. Who knows what they call it tomorrow.
