Description
Assemblage of the Trilobite Elrathia kingii in very good condition. The the two larger ones are 1.8 and 2 cm or 0.75 inches long. There are 5 to 6 complete Elrathia kingii and one upside down (3.2 cm or 1.25 inches) in different growth stages on the slab. The Trilobite Elrathia kingii is well known from the Wheeler Shale in Utah. The deposits of the Wheeler Shale date to the Middle Cambrian Period. They are about 507 million years old . The Wheeler shale is named after the town of Wheeler where around it is found. The Wheeler Shale is professionally quarried for the fossils.
