Description
This is a quality and very large specimen of Elrathia kingii. It is 1 7/8 ” or 4.8 cm in size. They don’t get much bigger. These large sizes are rare. The Trilobite comes from the middle Cambrian Wheeler Shale. It was found at one of the House Range quarries of Antelope Springs in Utah. Wheeler Shale is commercially quarried for the fossil trade and the trilobite is also used as jewellery.

It is a complete specimen, but note that the right cheek of this large Elrathia kingii is pushed back 1 or 2 mm under the back of the cepahalon.
