Orthosphinctes Ammonite assemblage from the Malm Gamma 1 from the Druegendorf Quarry near Ebermannstadt in Franken / Bavaria in Germany for sale .

Orthosphinctes is an Ammonite characteristic for the Malm gamma 1. In the Upper Malm (Malm gamma 2/3) almost the same Ammonite is represented by Ardescia. Ardescia is probably a evolutionary stage of Orthosphinctes. They are found often in the same quarries in the area, but in different layers. Orthosphinctes below and Ardescia above.

This beautiful  Orthosphinctes Ammonite assemblage comes from the Malm gamma 1 of the Druegendorf Betonwerk Quarry near Ebermannstadt In Franken / Bavaria.

The slab is 13.5″ or 35 cm x 6.5″ or 16.5 cm. The larger Ammonite is 3″ or 7.6 cm in size. The second 2.3″ or 6 cm in diameter. The third Ammonite is incomplete as you see. Part of a Belemnite Hibolithes semisulcatus is also present among other parts of the same Ammonite from above.
