Description
Large well preserved and prepared fossil shrimp Antrimpos speciosus for sale from the famous Solnhofen Limestone. This Antrimpos is 18 cm or 7 inches long if stretched. A professional repaired crack runs through the back of the fossil. All together the shrimp is in very good condition and very well prepared.
Due to less demand in decorative stones the production of Solnhofen Limestones slowed down since the 1990’s. Many quarries closed down. The final blow came in July 2023, when production seized (for now?). The storages for Solnhofen Limestones are full.
