This Cambrian Trilobite Hamatolenus vincenti Trilobite cluster for sale comes from Jebl Ougnat inMorocco. All four Trilobites present are well preserved and show all features. There are no cracks and glue. The largest Trilobite on the slab is 9.2 cm or 3.6″, the second largest is 8.1 cm or 3.2″, the next 7.6 cm or 3″ and the smallest 6.4 cm or 2.5″. The slab is appr. 23 cm x 23 cm or 9″ x 9″. A incomplete head of a small juvenile Acadoparadoxides shows on the slab.
The rusty orange to redish brown color of the fossils comes from Ironoxides, also called Limonite, yellow ochre. It is characteristic for the Trilobites in the area of that age. Ironoxides also occour on fossils in other Mid Cambrian age fossil locations, for example at the Skrije location of the Jince Shales and Newfoundland.
